Dino Cozzarelli
I started my career in 1984 in Columbus Ohio, USA as a technician fabricating orthotic and prosthetic devices. I attended Shelby State College in Memphis Tennessee from 1986-1988 and received my degree in Orthotics and Prosthetics. In 1991 I became an American Board Certified Othotist Prosthetist at the age of 21 on of the youngest ever in the USA. I moved throughout the United States. First in Columbus Ohio then Dallas Texas, then Phoenix Arizonia and Asheville North Carolina.
Each aspect was to persue further my expertise and work with the best Prothetists in the United States. The last 10 years I served as Director of Orthotics and Prosthetics at Thoms Rehabilitation Hospital where I implemented an immediate post operative prosthesis program for diabetic as well as traumatic amputees of all ages.
Over the last 20 years I have recieved certification in Myoelectrics-Ottobock and Upper extremity -Hosmer, Boston Elbow and Utah Arm. Also in Lower extremity with Harmony system, Pathfinder and all Ohio Willow Wood Products, All ottobock products. I also am an instructor of Ossur products in Central South America.
In 2002 I founded Prosthetics for Ecuador where I organized groups of Prosthetist from across USA and Central America to travel yearly to my native country Ecuador and fit over 130 poor amputees with free prosthesis.
