The Handicap Volleyball National team shared with students from the María Inmaculada School.

Moravia.- The Handicap Volleyball National Team played yesterday at the María Inmaculada School, which has in total about 1,300 students from preschool, primary and secondary school, to celebrate Sports Day.  The game is played by persons that have lost an extremity, nonetheless, that does not stop them from being excellent athletes.
According to professor Antonio Mora, the idea of an exhibition for handicap volleyball and wheelchair basketball is to create consciousness amongst students.

THEY NEED FUNDS

Their trainer, Carlo Magno Sáenz, laid out how these courageous men have classified for the Parapanamerican Games that will be celebrated from the 19th to the 27th of November of this year in Guadalajara, Mexico.  They will share with 1,500 athlets in sports like track, boccia, blind man’s soccer, mental paralysis soccer, goalball, judo, weights, swimming, table tennis, handicap volleyball, wheelchair tennis and basketball, which they played yesterday. Their intent is to travel to Canada on April 27th, but need financiang, and they were invited to Colombia as well, but they are missing the plane tickets for it.  Even then they struggle and put forth a phone number for assistance at 8824-0070.  Carlos Castro, a player in the team, mentioned that “the most important thing is to help make children and young adults aware that they are not exempt from these circumstances in their lives.  Most of us were children with the liberty to run and then we lost a part of our bodies, but have continued doing sports, and there are many disciplines for people with a handicap”, he mentioned.
